party shoes walking on a cloud

outdoor christmas tree with snow

indoor christmas tree with angel

deep frozen fish

Hardly got the decorations up and it is time for them to come down again. Fake tree this year since snowed in and cannot not find one locally any more, all the best glass balls are just too heavy and still in the box till next year. Would have cut down the tree in garden but it was under deep snow before christmas. Julie had to take down the tree because I found myself with one of my rare online chats, she managed with a minute to spare so is not damned for ever. Party shoes (only shoes I own except gardening shoes!) can go back in their box. End of fun for a while.

  1. Aren't you are glad now, that you didn't cut that tree in the yard down? It's a very pretty tree. I haven't put a tree up for over 20 years. No one would ever see it but me if I did. I didn't know there was a deadline for damnation, on taking them down. Good thing I don't put one up, or I'd be going to hell for sure, the way I procrastinate!

Caroline, you really have to get some more shoes! A girl has to have more than one pair of nice shoes. That is so sad! I just bought three pairs of these flats. One in navy, one in brown, an one in gray patent. They were inexpensive, but they look real nice on.

  2. I have never been a shoe kind of person and they are size 10 minimum here which is a larger number in US. Any shoes in these sizes are hard to find here, my wife takes size 8 and the choice for them is very limited and that is as large as most stores will stock. When I get some money perhaps I shall have to just pay a fortune from US and hope they fit!

  3. So are you saying its my fault that you were nearly condemmed to a lifetime of bad luck should your wife have not got the tree down in time!!

  4. Somebody may have had to take the blame! Look what happened to the fish, she may have been a bit too slow and missed the midnight deadline!

  5. So, the poor little goldfish takes the blame, for your failure to take the ornaments off her tree. She has no hands you know, and can hardly be expected to box them up herself. ;-)

  6. It must be an English thing, but you must explain this deadline for taking down the tree. Ours is still up! We often don't get it down till the middle of January. Once damned to hell, does doing it repeatedly make it worse? I always figured I was hellbound, but now it may be a certainty.

  7. A 12 th. day of christmas thing, though why someone decided damned forever I don't know. I have thought myself damned since I was about 3 so don't really care and the tree in the garden has had the glitter balls for three years and has grown round them, I also left a load of glass decorations hanging amongst the room lights for two years now so according to many people I will spend eternity a lot warmer than I am at the moment! Sound like a good thing.
